Kuala Lumpur, 13 March 2017 – Fight enthusiasts can finally put their highly honed skills and countless hours of dedicated training to the test as the much awaited return of the biggest amateur MMA fighting championship in Asia, if not the world, will start its historic tryouts tour soon. The Malaysian Invasion Mixed Martial Arts (MIMMA) was founded in 2013, as the proper platform to facilitate MMA talent development and talent discovery at the grassroots level. Now as MIMMA heads for its 5th instalment, history will be written yet again, producing a new batch of quintessential amateur MMA Champions, who will someday bring glory back to Malaysia at the professional MMA arena.  2017 will see a continuation of hard work put into improving MIMMA as a proper platform for amateur MMA hopefuls to start their journey as well as injecting new innovation to ensure the local MMA scene stays vibrant and ever-expanding.

MIMMA has always been using its digital platform to reach the masses. From its social networking sites to its seamless livestreams, all MIMMA related materials are easily accessible and this year, its online operation will be upgraded to further enhance the digital experience and also ease the processes involving its events. A fully digital registration process will be opened and hopefully this will help to make the flow during the day of the tryouts smoother.

Jason Lo, CEO of Tune Talk stated, “We adopted MMA because we felt that it is the sport that we can truly associate with. MMA demands discipline, dedication and passion. This aligns with who we are, as we are also fighters, going up against the big giants of the telecommunication industry.”

“It is 2017 and we now have 3 MIMMA Champions fighting and making waves in professional MMA. Keanu Subba, Agilan Thani and Muhammad Aiman were among talented fighters discovered through MIMMA and at the moment, we have a collection of impressive champions who are ready to dominate the professional MMA scene in the region. Tune Talk is still the frontrunner of both the amateur and professional MMA scene in Malaysia and this will continue as it will take the Malaysian MMA scene to the next level, ensuring our goal of making Malaysia the MMA hub of the region completely materialize in the near future,” he added

Once again, the MIMMA team will travel throughout the country for the #MIMMA5 tryouts.
